Pak-O-Bird Side Guards

Is your bird a heavy chewer? Protect the seams, stitching, and stainless steel mesh with durable chew guards made from heavy-duty plastic.

The manufacturer offers a repair service, and they’ve noticed something over the years—certain spots on the stainless steel mesh seem to be irresistible to birds who love to chew! That’s where these side guards come in. They provide extra protection for those chew-prone areas. But remember, birds are born chewers, so while these guards help, some determined birds might still find a way to nibble through the carrier.

Options:

4-Piece Set:
This set is for covering areas in your bird backpack carrier that might have some damage. The side guards are held in place by the perch and cups. If your perch is lower (like in the modified medium size for Greys), you'll need option 2 below, which includes a Grommet Kit.

4-Piece Set + Grommet Kit:
This is the same as the 4-piece set but includes a Grommet Kit and some nuts and bolts. These help secure the side guards by adding an extra grommet on the top strap. Watch the video below to see how to use the Grommet Kit.

6-Piece Set:
This set includes two extra pieces to cover the back fabric strips behind the cups. You'll need a Grommet Kit or another way to attach the extra guards.

6-Piece Set + Grommet Kit:
Same as the 6-piece set, but it also includes a Grommet Kit and the nuts and bolts to add extra grommets and keep everything secure.
