If your parrot’s behavior has become confusing, stressful, or even a little overwhelming, you’re not alone. Many bird parents reach out fora bird behavior consultation when they’re struggling with issues like screaming, biting, fear, or feather plucking. These sessions are designed to help you understand why your bird behaves the way they do—and what you can do to make things better.

During your bird behavior consultation, you’ll get personalized guidance on how to tame a bird, improve communication, and build mutual trust. We’ll also discuss nutrition and parrot enrichment ideas that support your bird’s mental and physical health including feather plucking. Sometimes what looks like “bad behavior” is actually a sign of stress, hormones, or unmet needs—and small changes in daily care can make a big difference.

My approach combines gentle training techniques, environmental adjustments, and behavioral science to help you create a calmer, happier relationship with your bird. Whether you’re dealing with feather plucking, fear-based aggression, or just want to strengthen your bond, this service offers practical steps you can start using right away.

A caring, personalized process

How It Works

What's Going On

When you book your bird behavior consultation, you’ll receive a detailed intake form.

This is your chance to share your parrot’s story — their quirks, challenges, and daily routines.

The more you tell me, the more I can help! 💌

Deep Dive Analysis

Once I receive your form, I carefully review it through the lens of parrot wellness, nutrition, and training.

I look for patterns that reveal why your bird might be biting, plucking, or showing signs of stress.

From there, I begin shaping a holistic plan that focuses on calm, connection, and confidence. 🌿

Your Personalized Action Plan

You’ll receive your very own Google slideshow — a complete action plan designed for your parrot.

It’s filled with step-by-step guidance, enrichment ideas, and simple training strategies.

Think of it as your bird’s wellness roadmap — something you can refer back to anytime.

We Chat on Zoom

Before we meet, you’ll have time to review your plan and note questions.

Then we’ll meet face-to-face on Zoom to fine-tune strategies and celebrate small wins. 🎉

Just what she needed

Nicole & Aussie

Hi Diane! I finally have a small glimpse of hope after 6 months, in being able to help improve Aussie’s quality of life. I have never had to deal with something like this with any of my birds. It can get very overwhelming & upsetting. I often feel all alone in trying to figure this out. I am so thankful to have found you & know you are someone I can contact & schedule more consults down the road if needed. Thank you for all that you do...

Great insights

Excellent!

My behavior consultation was excellent. I appreciate the time Diane spent with me. She was thorough and covered many areas of focus to relieve the problem. Diane made great use of our zoom time by collecting background data on my pet and his living conditions prior to the consultation. She was well-prepared and familiar with his case. Thank you for your insights.

A Girl with Parrot

I'm hopeful again

A Holistic Approach

"I learned so much during my behavioral consultation with Diane. Chester suffers from separation anxiety when I had to return to the office after working from home for 2 years. She explained about nutrition and adding fruits and veggies and different ways to incorporate them into Chester's diet. Worked out a plan to get Chester up to 10-12 hours of sleep. Prior to this consultation I felt frustrated and nowhere to turn. My vet said the problem was behavioral and to put a collar and give medication. I am now hopeful that we can turn his behavior around and turn him back to the happy little bird he was."
