What our customers say about this bird collar

Colleen

Vet Recommended

These collars are great for feather plucking and mutilation. They are lightweight and easily tolerated by the bird. My parrot can do everything that she normally would do with this collar on. This collar was recommended by my avian vet and it weighs less than half of what the fabric type collars weigh.

My eclectus boy is a severe feather plucked. To the point of self mutilation. This is the only collar that stops him. Although pricey well worth it. Compared to the alternative.

Too cumbersome

I thought this would be a better alternative to the big felt collars, which my African Grey chewed through in no time. Using the size chart provided, I ordered the collar suitable for both varieties of African Grey. My poor Timneh was tripping with every step, falling face first. The collar was too long for his body. Clearly, the size was appropriate for a Congo and NOT a Timneh.

My second purchase. I tried a different one from birdsupply, a soft one, before this, and while both are well made, none lasted longer than 2-3 days. My parrot is severe macaw.

use it on our moluccan cockatoo who like to chew on herself. We have used SEVERAL brands and designs. This is close to impossible for her to get to her wounds. Her spot was on her back, a tail amputation helped with that but now it is on her chest. She cant get around it due to the ridged construction. We have a light cloth one underneath so she can see that and know where it is, we thought keeping it clear might mess with her. this works for us.
