My treasured parakeet Alex has had two serious infections (and THREE hospitalizations) in the past five months. I thank my lucky stars for each day that he is alive but he has developed a bad habit -- feather plucking, possibly as a result of all of the changes and trauma which he has undergone. My birds do not pluck but do have one that chews his feathers and want to prevent potential plucking. All my birds get regular baths but enjoy misting the most. This product is easy, convenient to mix up and apply to the feathers. Instructions are easy to follow and clear I give 4 stars Bc i have not had enough time with it so see a difference

My female cockatiel has been pulling out her pin feathers for months. Her thighs and under the wings areas were naked and looking inflamed. I have no idea what started it, but she screamed every time she pulled one, and then threw them and they would stick on the wall. After going to the vet, I got some coconut oil to put on her skin. It didn't seem to do much other than make her greasy. I ended up getting the Feather Soft, and I now see a few pin feathers coming in and she is not plucking/screaming. Hoping this, plus other suggestions I got from Diane when we spoke on the phone, will resolve this. I ordered additional products from Diane based on our conversation. Also spoke with Diane about my canaries, who have been dealing with feather mites. They also went to the vet and I started the Scatt protocol and also the Scalex spray. Diane also gave me information as to how to use the products I ordered for the canaries, too. Hoping for a good outcome with them, I've never dealt with parasites before and they are relentless and have made a mess of my canaries. Knowing that Diane is there and so knowledgeable about bird nutrition and behavior, as well as her products, is a wonderful thing and gives me hope this will all get resolved!

I'm not sure if it is working for the plucking birds yet but it is helping our little yellow sided green cheek conure with her itching due to molting.

It has helped Rex with scratching not really plucking he's good in that area!!!! Hrs more comfortable and happier!!!!

easy to use I really like the way it is dissolves and I can put in a bird bath, ( spray bottle) my love bird was rescue, and feel he must been abused, he runs from the spray/mistier. So I putting perch in shower, so we can get him use to it, and also make bath time and treatment with the anti itch, a pleasent one.
