In many cases, a bird collar can deter a feather plucking habit. Choose a bird collar based on how severe your birds feather plucking habit has become. A mild feather plucking bird does best with a lightweight collar, while a severe plucker needs a thicker, more robust collar. Take our quiz to find the best styles for your birds plucking habit. Plan to train your bird to accept the bird collar. An untrained bird may rip the collar off. ALWAYS pair a bird collar with wellness strategies and behavior modification for best results.Take the bird collar quiz
While UnRuffledRx soft bird collars are very popular, even among vets, they're not for all situations. If your bird has an acute injury, like a surgical wound that it must leave alone, choose a more restrictive plastic collar. Also, there are issues with how durable we can make a collar that is both comfortable and safe for your bird. Bird's chew and compulsive pluckers may not tolerate our soft bird collars.
UnRuffledRx uses quality materials in our bird collars. Thick, fluffy fleece. Industrial-grade hook & loop. Extra-thick thread. Many styles can be trimmed at the neck and perimeter for an individualized fit. We even offer support to help you train your bird and to develop strategies for long-term success!Watch our Training video

On the order page, look for the orange colored SIZE GUIDE right by the product price.
Most collars come in 5-7 sizes based on the birds weight in grams. If you don't have a gram scale, you can purchase one online. Amazon tends to be the most affordable place. You don't need a specialized bird scale, it just has to weigh in grams.
Your avian vet should have a weight on file, too.
