The Huggle Soft Neck Bird Collar is our most popular bird E-collar. Developed for severe feather plucking and self-mutilation, the Huggle Collar is well-made, durable, and designed to protect voracious pluckers.

The Huggle provides a soft, flexible design that keeps your bird from reaching vulnerable areas, while not driving her absolutely batty in the process.

The thick FDA approved foam insert ranges in thickness from 1/2" on the small to 1" on the XLG. It's fortified with a "stiffener." Covered with organic, breathable bamboo fabric, the Huggle bird collar restricts neck movement, but not activities of daily living.

A lot of other bird collars make it hard for your bird to climb, eat, drink and play. All of the natural parrot behaviors that keep your bird happy!  The Huggle and other soft neck collars are different. Their thick girth restricts neck movement while providing soothing sensory pressure, allowing your parrot to do fun parrot stuff.

Soft, stretchy, breathable organic bamboo fabric covers the thick foam insert. Think of it like a memory foam pillow that naturally conforms to your bird's neck. Hook and loop allow for minor adjustments to accommodate a range of neck girths and crop expansion.

    1. More Info

We recommend that you contact your Avian Vet for a full examination to determine the potential cause of your bird's feather plucking behavior. In addition, to protect your bird from plucking feathers use a soft bird collar.

A bird collar alone will NOT resolve a plucking problem. By the time most caretakers make the choice to use a bird collar, the problem has likely turned into a habit.  You are encouraged to combine the use of a bird collar with calming supplements, wellness strategies, improved parrot husbandry, resolution of medical problems and behavior modification.

The length measurement is the inside diameter of the foam that hugs the neck.  You can adjust the tightness of this measurement. The height from the base of the neck to the jaw.

Please Note: These are suggested sizes for parrots that are of average size for their species.  We strongly recommend that you measure your bird prior to purchase. See our exchange policy here:

Works well. It is more difficult for my bird to chew up so it will last much longer.

I bought the collar for my granddaughters bird. She told me it was surprisingly easy to put on and her bird was not upset at all.

    Does it's job!

I bought one of these for my umbrella cockatoo. Seems to be doing the trick for the most part...definitely better than some other options we've tried. I had to purchase a second one because he has almost chewed through the first one. No fault of the collar, he manages to chew through everything. Might be just a little too big, but as I said, seems to be doing it's job. Super glad we found this website, and the customer service is great!
